What to expect

13 September 2017 to 24 September 2017

Come aboard on this epic adventure as we cross the ocean and face some of the most fearsome weather in the English Channel. We sail past the Ile d’Oussant and close to the Bay of Biscay as we traverse the busy shipping lanes of the English Channel. It is an experience that is meant to train you in the basics of heavy weather sailing.  Before we depart, you will learn to set storm sails, practice bad weather routines, and experiment with various measures to counter the harsh weather that you will face at sea.

After getting enough practice, you will have the skills necessary to cross this daunting channel and its challenging conditions. It will be an incredibly pleasant experience navigating to Madeira, and even if the weather plays spoilsport, the crew will ensure that you have all the necessary know-how to navigate comfortable through rough seas. So get ready for the adventure of a lifetime, and depart with skills and knowledge that only a few have had the privilege to gain and test in real-life situations. It is an experience that will challenge you at every step and leave you with a lifetime of memories and skills.
