15 Day Arctic Voyage

Yacht Charter and Boat Rental in Iceland

Adventure Provided by: Steve W.

ACTIVITIES Expeditions Cruising
What to expect

15 June 2017 - 29 June 2017

This remarkable expedition starts from Reykjavík and finishes in Longyearbyen, in the spectacular region of Svalbard, taking in the picturesque coastline of Scandinavia. Our voyage starts at the doorstep to the Arctic and takes us deep into its wildest realm.

We begin with delightful villages, pure nature, and flourishing birdlife along the west and north coasts. We explore the country’s best coastal destinations, including splendid fjords and the sensational Lofoten islands.

Along the wild and sparsely populated coastline of Iceland, we discover stunning natural surroundings steeped in rich cultural and literary history. Here the descendants of the Vikings have long lived among seabirds and whales in a grim however wondrous landscape that recalls the ancient adventures every step of the way.

In this stunning wild part of Europe, we explore traditional fishing villages and cosmopolitan towns situated in a scenery of surprising beauty. Each day brings an experience for all the senses, from the cacophony and aroma of a seabird colony to the startling taste and texture of Lutefisk.

In Svalbard, after visiting the isolated island of Bjørnøya, we explore the west coast of Spitsbergen, the largest island in the Svalbard archipelago. In this remote and icy wilderness, we search for the full range of High Arctic wildlife including reindeer, Arctic fox, walrus, bearded seal, and a variety of whale species.
