7 Day West Sardinia Discovery

Yacht Charter and Boat Rental in Sardinia

Adventure Provided by: Betty M. · Charter Agency

What to expect

We invite you to come aboard and experience an adventure of a lifetime to discover the Mediterranean Sea, its treasures, crystal waters, vivid marine life, breathtaking islands, hidden bays and pristine beaches.

Our 7-day trip will give you the perfect opportunity to exploreswimdivekayaksnorkel and just soak up the magic of the Mediterranean. Experience the magic of living aboard this yacht and spend the nights lying under a sky full of twinkling stars.

On this adventure, you will get a chance to discover the west coast of Sardinia, the second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. White sands, crystal waters and the mountainous hinterlands are all waiting to be explored. You will be amazed to see the bee-hive shaped Nuraghis, the strange ancient ruins from the Bronze Age and many more sights and wildlife during this cruise.

Our adventure starts in Alghero, a coastal medieval city, in the north-west of Sardinia which is famous for its beaches, food, ancient fortifications and its Catalan origin. In fact, the Catalan language is the other official language after Italian here as it is still spoken in some parts and you will also find some public signs and restaurant menus written in both Italian as well as in Catalan.

As we sail from Alghero heading north-west, we will come across a sheer massive rocky outcrop jutting out of the turquoise blue waters....this is Capo Caccia, which owes its name to the fact that 19th Century's noblemen used these lofty cliffs over the 'Coral Riviera' as the place to hunt pigeons. The sheer blue hues of the water that surrounds Capo Caccia will leave you absolutely stunned! Another wondrous sight of Capo Caccia are the sea caves that are found above and below the water. Easily accessible by boat, a visit to these portentous caves, especially the Neptune's Cave, is a must. These waters and their marine life are protected as a part of the Natural Marine Reserve and we highly recommend that you take some time exploring the magic that lies just below the surface.

Our next destination is Bosa, an untouched, picturesque, unique town with beaches to die for and a coastline that will take your breath away. Bosa is the gem, the shining star of Sardinia. This is the perfect place to disconnect from everyday pressures and totally unwind. What stands out about this gorgeous place in the Mediterranean are the pastel rainbow coloured houses that paint the steep hill-sides with their reflections shimmering in the waters of the River Temo.

From pretty Bosa, we will move to the incredible island of San Pietro. Named after St. Peter, who legend says had been stranded here while on his way to Cagliari, this island is a paradise for avid bird watchers. Home to the Eleonora's falcon and to many other bird species, this piece of land is part of the protected LIPU Reserve. Get mesmerised by the incredible coastline defined by its rocky edges and hidden caves encompassed by crystal blue shimmering waters.

Sant'Antioco Island is our next stop where we will see unspoilt beaches, quaint ports, tranquil backwaters and a landscape that resembles the Savannah which features ruins that date back to the pre-Romans era.

In the last leg of our cruise, we will sail towards Cagliari, the capital of Sardinia. Cagliari is defined by its palaces, domes and Il Castello (the castle). Catch the brilliant colours of Cagliari shine through its brilliant sunsets that bounce back through the pastel colours of the buildings in
