Half Day Ko Kret Island Discovery Cruise

Yacht Charter and Boat Rental in Bangkok

Adventure Provided by: Info L. · Boat Owner

What to expect

Koh Kret is a rustic island containing 7 small villages and located on the Chao Phraya River, 20 km north of Bangkok. It is rich with an ancestral history dating back to 1722.

Come on board and join us on a historical cruise along the river of kings aboard our luxurious shuttle and take home the memory of a lifetime. Koh Kret island is home to one of the oldest settlements in Thailand. The island was artificially created by the Burmese "Mon" tribes years ago and its beauty and characteristics are still retained to this day.

Koh Kret island was controlled by the "Mon" tribes between the 6th and 10th century and they still have their own distinct version of Buddhism. The island is famous for its unique style of "Mon" pottery, featuring unglazed terracotta with complex patterns. There are more than 20 pottery workshops there, so it is well worth a visit and there is plenty to buy.

In contrast with Bangkok, Koh Kret island has the charm of a rural village, with wooden shacks leaning against coconut trees and broken down temples. The major attractions of the island are its several Buddhist monasteries, temples and the pottery museum

Our professional and friendly crew will take the utmost care of you on board. Your safety and enjoyment are our priority! We also provide an experienced tour guide who will share his knowledge and insights of Bangkok's culture.

This tour departs from Saphan Taksin pier, directly under the BTS station.

Please make sure you arrive at least 15 minutes before departing as there are no refunds for late passengers.
