Good to know

  • Diving the BVI - the best in the Caribbean!
  • The perfect addition to your BVI cruise or sailing adventure
  • Explore underwater wrecks, caves, seamounts and more
Are you planning to go diving in the British Virgin Islands? Trust me, you’re in for a treat. In the British Virgin Islands (BVI for friends) you’re never far from a great diving site. Between lush coral gardens, towering seamounts and underwater wrecks, if you’re a lover of the marine depths then you’ll have plenty to explore in the BVI.
Not far from the stunning Baths on Virgin Gorda you’ll find the Dog Islands, offering a series of underwater rock features like arches and canyons; alternatively, make your way to Blonde Rock, a 60 feet seamount sheltering schools of fish and underwater life. Many divers come to the BVI to explore its famous wrecks - the jewel in the BVI diving crown is no doubt the RMS Rhone, a British mail ship in a perfect state of preservation, but it can be crowded. Another good wreck option is the Chikuzen, deeper than the Rhone but with far less people. Non divers, fear not - the BVI also offer excellent snorkeling!
