Good to know

  • Dive the magical waters of Martinique
  • Snorkeling options available for non-divers and families
  • Explore wrecks, coral reef, rock formations and more!
Are you planning to go diving in Martinique? One thing is certain - you won’t be disappointed. Martinique is located between the Atlantic ocean and the Caribbean sea, meaning you’ll be able to enjoy a variety of diverse underwater habitats - from vibrant coral gardens to dramatic rock formations, sea caves and much more. Some of the best diving and snorkeling spots around the island to spot tropical fish darting in and out of coral reefs are Anses d'Arlet, Anse Dufour, Anse Mitan, Anse Noire, Cap Chevalier, Pointe du Bout, and Ste-Anne. However, the jewel in the crown of Martinique diving are its wrecks, many of which date back to the disastrous Mt. Pelée eruption of 1902, that reduced half of the island to cinders. A total of 14 ships were sunk by the Mt. Pelée eruption, and they are locally known as the ‘Shipwrecks of Saint-Pierre’ - many are very deep, but you should be able to visit at least the Raisinier, accessible also to snorkelers.   What are you waiting for? Keep browsing our listings below and plan your Martinique cruise!
