Good to know

  • Dive in Mexico and visit some truly unique locations!
  • Plunge into the cenotes on the Yucatan peninsula
  • Don’t miss the underwater museum in Cancun!
Are you looking for a fun activity to add to your Mexico cruise? Diving is what you need. Mexico’s wonders are not just above the ocean - plunge into the depths and discover a wonderful world of coral gardens, seamounts, rock formations and chances to see some truly wonderful wildlife - including bull sharks, giant manta rays, sea lions and whale sharks. If you’re heading to the Yucatan peninsula, cenotes are a must-have Mexico diving experience - they’re flooded caves, some of them offering kilometers of underwater passages that make a great introduction to cave diving. Cenote dos Ojos near Cancun is a wonderful choice. Other excellent dives in the Yucatan include MUSA, Cancun’s underwater museum, the stunning Palancar Reef near Cozumel, whale shark diving near Isla Mujeres and bull shark diving near Playa del Carmen. Baja California is another Mexico diving and snorkeling hotspot - the Revillagigedo Islands are famous for sightings of giant manta rays, and Gordo Banks, where you might even spot hammerhead sharks.  Would you like to learn more?
