  • St.Maarten - the next destination for your diving holiday
  • Top activity to add to your Caribbean cruise
  • Visit nearby Saba, Statia, Anguilla and St.Barth’s for more diving opportunities
Are you planning a Caribbean holiday? Diving in St.Maarten should definitely be an activity on your list. The island will give you the chance to experience two destinations in one - the southern part of the island is Sint Maarten, a Dutch territory, whereas St.Martin, the northern half, is French. The whole island is heaven for sailors, sunshine and nature lovers - and even foodies will not be disappointed. When talking about diving in St.Maarten, the two halves of the island are usually grouped together, as conditions on offer are usually quite similar. Most dive sites are quite shallow, around 20 meters or so, and include a mixture of natural and artificial reefs, including 11 interesting wrecks. There are also several rock formations where you can find sponges, corals and anemones. Proselyte Reef in the south of the island is a unique site created by underwater lava flows - definitely worth a visit. Marine life includes a variety of colorful tropical fish, including glow-in-the-dark blue chromis.   Take a look at our listings below and plan your St.Maarten diving adventure!
