Good to know

  • Enjoy sunshine while cruising the Red Sea
  • Discover Egyptian culture during shore excursions
  • Dive some of the world’s best coral reefs
Cruising in Egypt doesn’t just mean the Nile – you can also charter a yacht and explore the Red Sea coast at will, enjoying some of the world’s greatest dive sites. Port Said is a great place to start a private Egypt cruise – from there you can head south through the Suez Canal, one of the world’s greatest engineering wonders, and follow the Red Sea coast stopping in Hurghada and Marsa Alam, two Egyptian party and tourist hotspots. Another option is following the Red Sea coast around the Sinai peninsula, heading to uber-famous Sharm el Sheik for some sun and fun or Dahab, home of Egypt’s best diving. Visiting some of Egypt’s archeological sights is a definite must, making for great shore excursions – from Hurghada you can head to the Valley of the Kings near Luxor, and from Marsa Alam you can travel inland to Aswan to explore the magical temples of Abu Simbel. Or you can hop on a Nile cruise to travel deep into the heart of ancient Egypt and enjoy Egyptian hospitality. The only danger here is that you’ll fall in love with Egypt.
