Good to know

  • Glitz and glamour in the French Riviera
  • Sample delicious French cuisine
  • Enjoy coastal nature in total privacy
Cruising along the French Riviera is a wonderful option for a glamorous Mediterranean holiday. You can start off in Nice, the largest town in the region, and spend a couple of days exploring the Old City with its Italian flair, with colorful buildings and narrow backstreets. Stop off at the Court Saleya market to pick up some provisions for your voyage, before setting sail for the famous Riviera.
Feel like a movie star in Cannes, and stroll along the famous Corniche, or take a detour to the Lérins Islands just off the coast. Ile St Marguerite is the largest in the archipelago – you can visit the fortress where the mysterious Man with the Iron Mask was held captive, or take a walk along the island’s shady paths, surrounded by the scent of maquis and the sound of cicadas.
Other famous Riviera towns are Antibes, Saint-Raphael and Saint-Tropez, where the French jet-set escapes during the summer. For something a little more offbeat, head to the Porquerolles Islands, not far from Toulon.
