Good to know

  • Kitesurf the British Virgin Islands and add adrenaline to your sailing expedition
  • The perfect location for a Christmas kitesurf vacation
  • End your day on the waves with a drink at a beachside bar
The British Virgin Islands (friends call them BVI) are one of the best kitesurfing destinations in the Caribbean, a wild and unspoiled paradise where you can get reliable winds and warm, crystalline waters!
The BVI are made up of 4 main islands, and several smaller ones, and most of them offer excellent kitesurfing sites - a BVI cruise is the ideal solution if you want to explore more than one kiting location, relax in luxurious surroundings and have somewhere safe to store your kite.
Virgin Gorda has a stunning lagoon that is ideal for beginners, or you can head over to the outlying reef where the water is so clear you’ll be able to see turtles and fish from your kite. Tortola and Jost van Dyke also offer some good kitesurfing locations, but there is one island alone that justifies traveling to the BVI for a kitesurfing experience - Anegada, offering excellent conditions with no crowds. Whatever you choose, you’re sure to love kiting in the BVI!
