Good to know

  • Enjoy this world-class sailing destination
  • Head over to the nearby BVI to explore
  • Lounge on stunning beaches and enjoy adventure!
Together with the nearby British Virgin Islands, the US Virgin Islands (USVI) are famous for being one of the best sailing destinations in the Caribbean. The combination of beaches, snorkeling opportunities, reliable winds and chilled vibe make them a truly not to be missed destination - but where to begin, when planning to sail the USVI? We recommend looking at St.John, the smallest of the three USVI. St.John is all about getting lost in nature - half of the island is covered in the protected forest of the Virgin Island National Park, with lots of trails to explore. One of the most popular hikes is the Reef Bay Trail, a 2.5-mile path winding down towards the coast from the highest point on the island. Beaches are another of St.John's prime attractions - Trunk Bay is one of the best, with a half-moon of clear sand, turquoise waters and gentle surf, perfect for snorkeling. There's even a marked 'underwater trail', offering an introduction to marine life in the Virgin Islands. Other cool things to see around St.John include historical sights like the Annaberg Plantation, where you can learn about colonial history in the area, and lovely little Cruz Bay with its laid-back charm. So, have we made you curious about St.John? Keep browsing our listings and explore further!
